Runner rugs are long and skinny. Your hallway looks long and skinny. What are you struggling with?

I would do a shorter runner by the front door (in the area that says "up.") Then a matching long one in the main hallway. Do you think you need more than those two areas? You could put a square or rectangular rug in the area of the bench (now that I see that it's not really a computer center) that flows out into the hallway instead of a runner in the bedroom hallway. Your floors are very pretty!

@Rho Dodendron you are correct, my halls are long and skinny as well as runner rugs. I am looking for advice on where to start and stop the long and skinny runner rugs based on the uniqueness of this particular area.

@Olychick thank you! I never thought of doing something just in front of the mudbench area and not a runner there. That would alleviate the awkward runner in front of the brick wall and garage entry door. The other hallway has a lot of traffic between my dog and the main toilet/half bath used. Thank you for the compliment on the floors! I love the lighter floor and being able to put almost any rug down and it pops!

Perhaps only place on in the hallway that runs past the computer center.

@Norwood Architects that hallway isn’t used as frequently as the other. One person mentioned putting one in the area by the mudbench/computer center on the floorplan and having a coordinating one down the other hall. We dont’t wear shoes inside but the other hall seems to have a lot of traffic and the noise being muffled would also be helpful.

I see no use for the runner at all and if you want it for some color add some art on those empty walls A mat o catch dirty feet thats it IMO
