We Are Celebrating Tonight!

A special celebratory day for us! After dating for about 1 1/2 years while DH was doing his medical school internship in Michigan, he graduated and accepted a position as a family practice physician in Albuquerque. That October he invited me to come out and see New Mexico. We had a hospital staff Halloween party to go to then, so Mom and I designed and made Merlin and Morgana’s costumes for us both. It was wonderful to see my love again, to see some of this beautiful New Mexico, and to attend the party. Our costumes were a great hit! Mom and I had made a great silver skull cap for him and he glued on a very realistic dark beard on piece by piece. a good disguise as he had light blond hair! Later that evening, he proposed and, of course, I said ”Yes”! So, Halloween has always been a very special night for us. Now 42 years ago.

Comments (16)Lynne, I love your little grey 'ornament'. LOL. Cats and trees just sort of go together huh? But that is one reason I don't put up a big tree now, I can't imagine the mischief Jazz would get in to. Years past, when kids were at home and I had a big tree, my old cats never ever climbed one. Just lay among the presents and occasionally took lower ornaments off. I'm sure 3 of mine would do that now, but Jazz isn't one of them! My fat cat couldn't get off the ground, and never gets into trouble! Eating is her only exercise in fact. I get such a kick out of Christmas photos with cats in trees and laying in the middle of a Village! Funny as long as its not mine I guess. Comments (15)We watched too...at the office and when I got home. I can't imagine being trapped that long under ground. I've been on a few cave tours over the years but no way in heck would you find me signing up to work in one or simular conditions. Sad to hear about the mistress and all....what a way to find out. As for them stowing away in the bathroom, as it was in use after we left them, and there isnt' much room in the shower, I don't think that would have worked! they would have had to be pretty up close and personal to even stand in the shower to stow away! And boy, did we catch heck for leaving the RV in DH's cousin's driveway, and just taking the truck up to Sandy's! They wanted to drive it! Or at leasst get their pic taken looking like it!
