I just opened one, the address you want to add to your address book is gardenweb_user@gardenweb.com Have you looked in your spam box? Without knowing what email address you use here, I'm going to assume it's the Cox one. See if you can go to their web site, pull your email there and look in that spam box. If you still have problems, change your email address here to your gmail account. Good luck.

Addendum to original post below :I should not have used this open shelves post as an example because the user prefaced her post with "OT' (off topic) which completely validates an off topic post. Honestly when I think about it I really like and learn a lot from the off topic posts as well, they often ask questions that I think of as well. I guess a better example for messaging is when someone wants to ask a more sensitive question like who the contractor is or who the company is that botched an installation, I don't want people to be put off posting OT questions about things they see in the threads. Original post: Hurray for Houzz listening to us! I second or third the request to set your messaging to "all users". That way we don't have to hijack threads to ask unrelated questions (ie. in a posting on my soapstone, someone pm'ed me on the old GW to ask about my open shelves).

Hi, All, I just found a bunch of important PM from the Houzz forum in my email spam folder. For some reason, I could not read them on my Houzz home page, but when I retrieved them from my email spam folder and sent them to my mail, then opened them, I found them. So perhaps if you PM anyone, do let them know on the regular thread so they will know to check their email including the spam folder. This started to happen this week. Fortunately, I often go through my spam folder before it gets deleted without my seeing it. Joanne
