Either one of those has space too tall because it starts near the top of the door. I found some wreath hangers on line at Target that are adjustable—so they can be lowered to more manageable location but they only offer one hook each—would have to find a basket or other horizontal type of hooks to hang from the hangers and that would look DIY tacky vs cool because I am not a very handy person—
The second option you posted looks like the supports need screwing into the door and my husband won’t go for that…

There are a million ways to store any given thing.

Beware the over the door for doors that may not really need it. Even the best, will beat up the top of a door, and its paint.

Ask where these are going.......back side of a bath door? That should have been accounted for in bath planning, in other ways. It's not an aging home, right? Back of a walk in closet door? For what? Shoes, scarves, belts ?

Unless this is a rental, why not install organizers that attach to the door. If you have hollow-core doors, use anchors for mounting.

Ah, that's different. While I agree with you that a new house should have adequate storage, from what I've seen of spec houses in our area, that's definitely not the case. The kitchens are especially pitiful.

It was "new construction" but that doesn't mean the op planned the house. Could well be spec/tract.

In what rooms . Bathroom, mud room utility closet , back of a pantry door. back of a bedroom door etc

Hooks, no hooks, shoe carriers, shallow baskets for grooming supplies etc

If someone asks to see the floor plan? It only means they may see an opportunity for storage that you do not see. That is ALL it means.
