Living Room/Family Room Layout
Comments (1)I've looked at so many companies.... Albany Park, Rove, Pottery Barn, Room & Board, Interior Define, Six Penny, Maiden Home, Arhaus, Article, etc. It seems like quality wise, Maiden Home is the way to go, but I can't find a sofa that comfortably seats 5 people without someone sitting in the crack between cushions. The Sixpenny 150" u chaise sectional would work, but I'm not a fan of slip covers and it doesn't seem like it would go in my space. Room & Board has a reese curved sectional that I could build that would fit the space, but I don't know about the quality. The same goes for Interior Define, which has a lot of mixed reviews....See MoreFamily Room Layout - What do you think?
Comments (7)@Beverly Thank you so much for this suggestion! I did try it this way but the issue was that if we were to put the TV against this wall and then put a large sofa against the wall where the windows are, the viewing angles are not great. The sofa would be too far from the TV and the views would not be straight. The room is large and rectangular, and in this layout, the corner fireplace makes things challenging. This was the issue. You can see what I tried to do here. I understand the furniture is small but even with a large couch the viewing angles won't change much. The 2 seater will also be too far from the TV. :(...See MoreHelp! Family Room Layout
Comments (6)I really like the TV between the windows. You can enjoy the TV and the fire. The niche next to the fireplace is perfect for shelves that would be flush with the walls. The table would make a great game table under the window to the right of the clock. The rug you propose is okay but in this room it seems dark, something lighter would brighten up the space. For the same reason I would not get dark uphostery or furniture. A sofa and loveseat is more flexible than a sectional. I like the existing blue rug but it's a little small. I would go with that color scheme, that shade of blue and white is great in here. The seating should fit on the rug. Artwork on the walls....See MoreFamily room layout help!
Comments (4)I think sectionals are a poor choice for seating since armrests IMO = comfort you get 2 comfy seats no matter how big the sectionalis. Everton elined up like sardines is not ideal for conversation either .The floor plan is not ideal since I do not see any actual meausrements on each wall and the only windows are twhat appear to be sliders on either side of the FP. Wanht is the rect. bedside the bathroom for instance. How many seats do you need on a daily basis, do you nhave a TV and how big is it? IMO above the FP is the worst place for it. But with no idea of where the windows are who knows. Pics of the space would also be helpful Post all of that here in comments the drawing in jpeg format the pics too. All here DO NOT start another post....See MoreRelated Professionals
