Help decorate my screened porch?
Comments (6)Looks like your bird on the tea cart flew away before you took the third pic! The first thing I'd do is turn the sofa so that it is at an angle, facing the wrought iron table. Might not fit due to the entrance to the porch, but if it does, I think you can get a more homey and welcoming arrangement for the furniture. I'd then get more of a coffee table, square, rather large, for in front of the sofa - center the porch, and put the two chairs in the corner facing the sofa with the tea cart between them. Put the round table in the corner where the tea cart is now. Remove the other small side table. I think a coral color for the white chairs would be beautiful with the blue cushions. Maybe BM Rich Coral or Tucson Coral. I'd do the tea cart in a glossy black and put it between the two coral chairs. BM Rich Coral BM Tucson Coral For the round table, do you want that set to be one uniform color? For instance, you could keep the table black (or spray it a high gloss black) and paint both chairs a bright color, or each chair its own color. Paint the table White and chairs each its own color, which I think would be fun and look great. Lots of options there....See MoreHelp me design/decorate our front porch entry
Comments (10)Maybe a outdoor rug and some metal art on the back wall. Paint a turquoise blue or some brighter color. Or a wreath even if you like them. Like this:https://www.wayfair.com/decor-pillows/pdp/three-posts-4-piece-wall-decor-set-thps3885.html Even if you find something thats more for indoor use a coat of Rust-Oleum spray paint would give it enough protect in that covered area. I would definitely paint the entryway white or some other much lighter color to brighten it up. A colorful pot with dried flowers or pine cutting for fall/winter. You can paint a red clay pot with any acylic indoor or outdoor paint. It weather's off a bit over time and looks "rustic"....See MoreHelp me decorate front porch
Comments (6)Oh I like the idea of bronze lamps. All the hardware in my house is bronze so that would tie in. Previous poster mentioned greys and I have two grey adirondack chairs on the back deck I’ll swap. I kinda like the look of those drum night stands/side tables... would that looks weird between the chairs? What colour for that? Still can’t figure out what rug to get, grey and black rugs are very limited....See MorePorch light decor help!
Comments (1)I favor lights with bulbs that are completely enclosed, or at least with a down-facing shade. That's because bugs love lighting, and it doesn't matter if the light is inside or outside. But who wants to clean dead bugs from light fixtures? This is the FIXTURE over my back door. It's got a bit of roof overhang but is otherwise exposed to the elements. It is shown in a vertical position, but I turned mine horizontally. This option requires the connections outlet to be located in the middle of the fixture's back. Here is a compact MODERN FIXTURE that should easily fit over your door, and here is a more TRADITIONAL FIXTURE that would work better with your front door style. There are lots of online sites to view fixtures including Home Depot, Lowes, Lamps Plus, Lighting Direct, and a host of others. Do a search for outdoor wall lighting to find more. While you are looking take note of the size of each fixture. You don't want one that sticks up too high or hangs too low. Your new fixture should be about the size of the current fixture....See MoreRelated Professionals
