I am missing my friends
Comments (10)Janet, I'm so glad to see you posting. That's a first step to getting some "normal" time back in your life--or at least it has been for me. I can't tell you what a blessing our emails to each other have been since both our DH's have been diagnozed with Dementia/Alzheimer's and seem to be at about the same stages. I know that at first I just wanted to crawl in a hole somewhere and pretend it wasn't happening. The hardest part was learning that it is progressive and there is no cure. If you are like me, you suddenly realized that your whole world had changed. It is so great to have people like Marlene who have been through it and are willing to share their experiences to help us sort of know what to expect and how to handle things. Marlene, I'm so sorry you had two loved ones who had it. The doctors sure don't tell us much, most of what we've learned are from books and the experiences others are willing to share. Janet, you know you are in my thoughts and prayers too, and we can keep sharing our experiences and offering each other encouragement. Comments (3)System is currently in basement (partially finished). now there is just an open slot and I slide in the filter, obviously not air tight...but doesn't seem to be bad. Of course I know that will get worse the bigger the slot, but figured it was worth a shot....and maybe I could just use some tape or fashion a door of sorts. ...and if I mess up too bad, I can just buy the "cabinet" from AprilAire or Honeywell (mentioned above) Hhhhmmm, I just thought of something though. My current filter size is 14X20X1. So far most of what I am seeing is 16X or more. This post was edited by RascalMJ on Sat, May 4, 13 at 16:36...See MorePLEASE help. Why am I not getting emails?
Comments (4)Thank you for your replies and suggestions. Ginny, checked my email address and it's OK. Tried unchecking and rechecking again so will see what happens. Breezy, I didn't originally sign up with email enabled, Changed it later and could have sworn I got emails, but that was at least a year ago. Only recently back trolling the boards. Thanks for telling me about Tamara; I'll contact her if other suggestions don't work. Appreciate your help!...See MoreIs my family room missing something?
Comments (68)I suggest getting a caramel colored velvet pillows that tie in the color of you kitchen cabinets which would be a lovely contrast to your sofa. maybe another one that is neutral will lots of texture and possibly change out the rug to something more interesting. pillows and curtains: I think more substantial fabric for the curtains would help as well....See More- last year
