The fellow was being sold a very cheap suit. “But the left arm is a lot longer than the right arm,” he complained. “That’s why the suit is such a bargain,” the sales clerk explained. “Just cock your left shoulder up a little, like this, and tuck this left lapel under your chin a bit, like this.” “But the right leg is way too short,” argued the customer. “No problem,” the sales clerk answered. “Just keep your right knee bent a little at all times, walk like this, and no one will notice. That’s why this suit is only $30.” Finally, the fellow bought the suit, cocked his left shoulder into the air, tucked the suit’s left lapel under his chin, bent his right knee, and limped out of the store toward his car. Two doctors happened along and noticed him. “Good heavens,” the first doctor said to the second, “look at that poor crippled fellow.” “Yeah,” answered the second doctor. “But doesn’t that suit fit great?”

Annie, yours made me think of this. I have a window blind on a front window that has wonky hardware. I have to wind up the blind by hand every time, which is mostly every night. That means lifting the blind out of the little metal slot first of course. Now, because I detest fooling around with window hardware of any kind, I've been winding the blind like this for a loooong time - I would say a couple years, maybe more. "I'll fix it tomorrow". Well, a week ago for some reason I grabbed the bottom and pulled down..........the window blind went up by itself ......and then I pulled it back down, I tried again, it rolled right up. So how long has the stupid thing been working? Look who's calling who/what stupid?

Glad I don't own a "Kia" ... or I might have my "worry-wart" genes getting all het up, Rusty! (Don't own any car, actually - which is somewhat inconvenient when one lives several kilometres away from the city). ole joyful

If you see me talking to myself, just move along. I'm self-employed; we're having a staff meeting.
