Help with art work, please!! Pics included.
Comments (13)You could use a much shorter lamp there to get rid of it blocking the view. However, it seems like a piece of art centered on that wall might not work......... that wall is basically the dividing line between two different rooms, right? (Yes, it's a great room... but the way the furniture is.... it just seems divided.) I would be confused about what to put up for that reason alone.... :) Personally, I would do a grouping of mirrors.... Something hung like these "Garden District" mirrors from Ballard: I'm not sure if the dimensions on these particular ones are right for your space, but I think something similar could work and look very nice....See MoreWould this art work in my living room?
Comments (18)The wall color is SW Ramie. The chair was my grandmothers, and it is just sort of a placeholder right now. I have been searching for new chairs. I would really like to get 2 chairs, but I am unsure how to arrange everything. I would also like to get a new rug--I've been coveting a real hand-knotted forever. The current rug is very nice, 100% wool Couristan machine woven. It is in the same line as My3dog's lovely living room rug. They have been selling this line of rugs in the last year at Tuesday morning for less than half price. It doesn't come off quite as pale in person. I want to eventually move it into my bedroom, where it will be perfect. Does anyone have recommendations for a rug? What color scheme? I really like some of the orientals that are a bit more modern without a really tight or busy pattern. Something maybe like this: This rug is from Williams Sonoma home, and is way out of my price range at over $2K. Is it possible to get a hand-knotted for around $1K? I need at least an 8x10....See MoreHelp me pick art for my living room + dining room!
Comments (10)No, I don't think it would look awful. I love big art pieces. The important thing though is do YOU like it? It's your home and it's important that it please YOU. Looking at your picture, I'm wondering if the art above the sofa isn't a tad big for that wall. (I really like it, btw.) Usually, the eye appreciates some breathing room around art. If you have painter's tape, try taping out that canvas' size above your couch and see just how much wall it covers. That might help you visualize its negative space better. Good luck and enjoy the process!...See More3D wall art - who makes this kind of wall art?
Comments (8)It is a wallpaper, but the website isn't active anymore. I didn't have much luck with the exact one, but this is similar. https://www.etsy.com/listing/971072425/3d-abstract-traingles-wallpaper-mural?gpla=1&gao=1&&utm_source=bing&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=shopping_us_c-home_and_living-home_decor-wall_decor-wallpaper&utm_custom1=k_744eddc564711c38c290bd9c6594d2b6_k&utm_content=bing_319895457_1302921427446871_81432615571304_pla-4585032209645604:pla-4585032209645604_c__971072425&utm_custom2=319895457&msclkid=744eddc564711c38c290bd9c6594d2b6...See MoreRelated Professionals
