I am trying to find a stair carpet runner in antelope or cheetah print

I have 13 stairs with black stairs and white floor boards. I have been tr to find just the right runner for app two years now finally have settled on an antelope or cheetah design. However, when find one that love and want to look further into it, haehave run into so many deaf ends! I can't find out where to purchase.

I just spent 30 seconds doing a quick google search and came up with this thread with several brands to look at. A mid/high end carpet store in your area will have these products.

Not sure if you like any of these, but they all come in a variety of runner sizes

I have a lovely pale straw-colored carpet with raised tiny white squares on my stairs. I cannot wait to rip it out. The white thread is a dirt magnet and we are forever having the carpet cleaned. The least amount of dirt seems to show up in a pattern on the steps in no time, and drives me mad! We don't wear our shoes upstairs (to try to minimize this problem) but guests and my housekeeper do not take off their shoes (I don't have a "rule"). You might want to think about both the dog fur and dirt. Granted, my carpet is textured, which may exacerbate the problem.

@Chessie The irony is that we actually don't even take baths! The default option was a built-in bathtub surrounded by a rectangular tiled edge, and I knew we'd be bonking our knees and calves into the corners every time we walked into our closets. Similar to this one: So we upgraded to a freestanding just so we could avoid the bruises! Though looking at it now that it's installed, it kind of makes me want to take a bath after all.

Ok. I LOVE your carpet choice. It is beautiful. However...I am not sure that what you would find wool easy to care for. You can’t use a vacuum with a beater bar...it will shred the fibers and cause pilling, reducing the life of the carpet. You have to be careful when you clean it, too. I grew up in a home with wool carpeting. My mother used an Electrolux carpet sweeper. It had a wand, NOT a beater bar. I made the mistake of replacing a nylon plush carpet on my stairs and upstairs hall with a gorgeous loop wool carpet. I ended up ripping it all out after only 3 years. Vacuuming it was difficult, and keeping the stairs clean at the pivot points was a nightmare. (And was just my husband and me, and our shoes were off at the door, too.). Replaced it with a short pile nylon carpet. The other issue with very flat weave carpets is seaming. They often show. What is the width of your carpet? Where will the seams be placed??? Flat pile carpets show seams more than those with pile. Just saying.... I hate being negative about this, but...

As noted by Chispa above, this is something BEST created from broadloom and a source local to you. The width of stair matters, the install matters, and cap and band would be my choice.! We've no idea your location....: )

FIND a broadloom store near you that carries Prestige Mills. "Deerfield" can be cut, edges bound and installed. multiple color ways available.

I really appreciate all of the information I received from chispa, Olychick, Beverly and Jan! I am in Mass.

and I am sure I will be able to get the stair runner that will make the entryway into my home look just the way I've been dreaming about from all of the options you all have sent me!

I will supply photos of the finished staircase!! Thanks again.

It's very possible the runners offered will not be the best width for your staircase. It's not unusual to purchase a larger area rug and have it cut into pieces, and have the edges bound or turned in order to achieve the best outcome. It's done all the time as if the runner was created from broadloom carpeting.
