Useful Tips on decorating living room..
Comments (2)Some good basic advice there. But given the unfavorble exchange rate (currently it takes 1.96 dollars to buy one British pound) I don't think many Americans are going to be shopping on UK websites!...See Moreliving room decorating tips
Comments (6)BeverlyFLADeziner: Thx for your input. We definitely need artwork/3D wall panel for the back wall. I like your suggestion of a large plant on the corner between the sofas. I am thinking of a coffee table w/ rounded-edges to break up the boxy-square shapes of the sofas. As to a rug, we have severe allergies, so we prefer not to use a rug at all. I know it may create some design challenges. Would love to hear thoughts?...See MoreNeed advice, ideas and tips on how to design my living room
Comments (0)Hello everyone, I just recently moved into my apartment and currently only have some furniture from my old flat, which I dont really like. Therefore I am currently trying to think of how I want to redesign it and buy all the furniture over the next few monts. Unfortunately I have no real sense of what looks good together, what details to look out for and how to match colors. I am trying to keep it simple and modern. So far I have tried to design it with an online room planer (see link below), since I just cant imagine how a piece of furniture would look like in real life... Link to current Situation (Design Dilemma) & Future https://imgur.com/a/RA9fmIG Some things I want to mention: The couch in this simulator, I already have, I will get it from my sister since she is getting a new one. I will also keep my desk, everything else will be replaced (TV-Stand, Cupboards, etc.) Overall I like it how it looks so far although there are a few issues: Rug. I really like the rug but am not able to find it anywhere. What rug would you recommend? TV-Stand: I am not the biggest fan of this lightgrey TV-Stand. I was thinking about a lowboard that has a dark brown frame and a little white to it. Something like this: https://www.beliani.at/tv-stand-light-wood-with-white-eerie.html Also should I add something else instead of the cupboard with the books above the cupboard to decorate the wall? Big wall art: I don't have a big wallart for the wall yet, this one is just temporary and I'm sorry that it is not centered ;-) Cupboard below the Art: Does a cupboard fit there? I will have one cupboard next to the desk and I really need some storage space. Any recommendations? It just looks really clumped. What else could I do with this space? Without anything there it looks empty Any other help, ideas, tips are really appreciated. If you have any questions, feel free to ask!...See MoreTips for arranging poorly designed living room
Comments (13)I notice you have a booster seat in your dining room indicating at least one small kid. Because of this, I would keep the sofa where it is. Put a kid friendly ottoman or train table or LEGO or art table in front of it with 2 tiny stools/chairs tucked underneath. Put a shelf on the wall between the radiator and door with baskets or doors to hide books, toys, etc. key word HIDE. Then put great artwork that is both fun and that you want to see as an adult above it. This becomes an awesome place to sit and cuddle and read with baby QP. Get wood radiator covers to match your woodwork. On the other side of the room by the fireplace I’d get some kind of comfy big chair with ottoman, or chaise lounge, something like that. Put it on the left of the fireplace and the little desk between the door and radiator, with a desk chair. It could be a mail drop. I would leave the middle of the room pretty open. Can’t see your ceiling or light but it looks like an opportunity to take it to a higher level from what I can see. See http://www.woodenradiatorcabinet.com/products/prairie etc. I have these in my house and they make living with radiators in the way feel pretty good....See MoreRelated Professionals
