Furniture Design Dilemma Living Room

What kind of couch(s) would look best in this space?

i recen rerenovated the kitchen/livingroom. i removed all my old furniture and could not decide on what furniture would wirk for this space. please help:)

Sorry not sure what you are asking. I see a sloppy sectional already there is it staying? Waht are the other rooms like and the pieces in them. I dislike sectionals they are IMO the most expensive way to buy the least number of comfortable seating Can at least post a to scale plan so we know how much space you have and also a lot mor einfo. Post all of the here in comments DO NOT start another post. How many seats do you need what is your style ?

You might want to add a console table behind the sectional.

The sideboard on the back wall needs to find a new location.

Marti- We went through that too. Thought about every possible potential use of the space and got discouraged by people who insisted we needed to have an island or nothing at all. I understand the sentiment, but different things work for different people. I mentioned it took us a year to go through the layout/design phase, right? We considered everything. I am going to try to attach a copy of an ideabook from houzz where I collected some photos to help me decide what to do with the beam/bar area. I liked some of the photos and disliked others, but kept them all to help me think it through... I have some other pictures, not on houzz that I will try to attach separately. IMO the TV off the FP and on the wall facing the windows one sofa facing the TV on faing the FP a nice big rug all the stuff on the rug and a aquare coffee teble everone can reach I love BEsta from Ikea for TV walls you can have the TV mounted at the proer viewing height then some storage and some display BTW the pic above is a layout pretty useless to actually live in since no one can reach the coffee table no one has a place for a drink at the chairs. I think do this layout then see if the 2 chairs will fit at all.This is one way to set up Besta and the pieces also come in lots of finish choices . BTW I love the rug above.

How many people will be eating at the table on a regular basis? Are you removing the other window coverings because I think they look nice and relate well to the living room. One suggestion would be to have bench seating under your crosses (please keep them) with a narrow long rectangular table and 2 to 3 chairs across from the bench. It would tuck it closer to the wall so you have walking space. You could then put china cabinets or bookcases on either side of the door. Another suggestion would be to set up a table that goes from a console to a table to sit 8-10 peopls. You could set it up as a desk for everyday. It's a hard room because of the doorways.

Are you looking at getting rid of the sectional? You could keep it, use a rug to ground the space, and place a sofa table behind the sectional.

A sofa and two chairs would work wonderfully in the space. You could even add a sofa table behind the sofa to use as a console table upon coming in the front door. Note the sofa tables in the below designs:
