Transplanting monarda

The native monarda - Monarda fistulosa (wild bergamot). I sowed some from seed this spring and transplanted the seedlings to under some of my fruit trees, where they grew like gangbusters. I'd like to move them out to the pasture, but I'm wondering if it's too late in the season. If were transplanting into the perennial beds I'd do it without hesitation, but what is giving me pause is the pasture gets no care from me, plants have to duke it out amongst themselves, it's survival of the fittest, and I'm thinking if I transplant now the bergamot won't have enough time before fall cut-down in November to establish a robust root system and will fail to re-appear next year. What do all you native plant experts think?
