Who is this white/not white rose from Louisiana?

A friend of mine gave me cuttings from another rose that's been at the family home in New Orleans for many years, possibly as few as 30 but possibly back a few generations. She told me it was a white rose. I grew cuttings for her and the one I kept just bloomed...pink blush with a pink center! She has shown me photos of the parent plant and the blooms are clearly white.

Any idea what it is?

The plant is twiggy and grows like a China, and it is clearly a repeater. This second flower is just over an inch in diameter and there is a slight fragrance. Not enough to really distinguish. One cutting grew with tiny thorns, another grew without thorns at all.

First flower opened with a lot of damage in the dry heat.

The plants I gave her (there were about 6 cuttings that grew) have near-white blooms.

I'm eager to know what it is, because I don't know if it will be hardy enough to withstand the winters here. Can you help?
