Most of the lower cost shower heads at Lowes, HD, Walmart, etc are made of plastic, even though they may be chromed. Yes, there are some in 'rainhead' style.

I would rip all those cabinets out. Keep a little covered free standing grill somewhere, but not on the under-roof patio. That area needs a place to sit, drink and eat outdoors next to the pool. How much sf with it all out? CB2 has some smaller sturdy inexpensive outdoor tables with benches. The nook area where the stove top is would be a perfect place for rust proof hooks and a sign above that says " wet towels here". If you are going to rent it out furnished or even if not it would help maintain the interior. You also need a fan somewhere. Edited to add: I just noticed that that area is not all under roof (?) Or is that glass up there? Can you do something about that? It's horrible not being able to get out of the sun if one wants.

Just saw this question this afternoon. I'm not excited about a sliding glass door in the shower itself, but I have a couple of other thoughts. The house we moved into last year has an outside door that opens from the back patio to the master bathroom. There is no pool, so I'm not sure why it was built that way, but there it is. There are about 2 steps from the outside door to the shower door which is handy if you're coming in dirty (or sandy). Here's a clever thing we saw at a hotel in Hawaii recently. The sandiest part of someone coming in from the beach is your feet and lower legs. This "Surf Splash" is hooked up to a hose and turns on when you put your foot in. It actually works! (For those who don't live near a beach, sand sticks like glue!) Having finally been able to bring up the page with their prices, I see they're a tad expensive. Yikes! https://surfsplash.com/shop/

I try to use "dark sky" exterior lighting which focuses the light downward and out of ones eye-line. These are some ideas. Aluminum or brass will wear better than a steel base metal fixture in your environment.
