Eagertopaint, I didn't see the new pics you posted until today, and in all honesty, think a print on such a long panels could be too much print as well as tiring of the draperies quickly. Before I built my home a year ago, I went thru many model homes, and did see window treatments w/pattern, but the pattern was usually more subdued and not so prominent, and if so, was usually a valance. IMO, a solid would be the way to go, but that's just *my* opinion. The printed draperies seem to take over your beautiful room. ;o(

Patio style very wide curtains with grommets are fairly kid proof. Lots of washable styles at jcpenney's. You'll probably need a pro to order and install a custom rod that is long enough and strong enough with the right supports. A cheaper solution would be three hefty ready made rods and three sets of two grommet panels each. Best wishes for your new baby.

We went to Lowe’s after we got a $9000 estimate from Hunter Douglas in Tucson. We are very happy with the quality and installation. Smooth in all ways. Strongly suggest you get a Lowe’s 'measure' for $35 , which is given back if you order from them. The measure is good for 6 months. I’ve had Lowe’s do two houses of mine. Levolor, as well as the several other mfrs at Lowe’s might have a lifetime warranty. They easily processed a claim for a 2011 broken pleated shade (the only issue ever on a whole houseful). Also, Home Depot carries some Hunter Douglas shade products.. I, too, was shocked at hearing the $9k. Good to hear that Rocky is recovering nicely
