I have a Yahoo acct, but only used it to for my Flickr acct registration, and I also have a roadrunner acct that used to be the mail client on my computer, but when I got a new computer with latest OS, it no longer worked, so I shifted over to using just outlook and gmail,

I use Outlook and it pulls in emails from 3 different email addresses without any problems.

I use Apple’s mail on my iPad and iPhone and it pulls from multiple accounts. On my desktop, a Windows pc, I use Outlook and it does the same. I used to use Blue Mail on my LG phones before switching over to Apple. It worked fine.

Try using one browser for one and a different browser for the other.

I am chiming in to say that I have had a yahoo email account for years, and it is terrible, and getting worse all the time. I have so many problems with it, I can't even say them all here. Yahoo had a huge outage a few days ago and my email (and my brother's), went down for about 8 hours. Yahoo's entire website was also down!

It barely even made the news. My kids think I"m just a dinosaur for not having gmail, and I'm about to convert over. There's just nothing good about yahoo that I know of.

Thunderbird worked with Yahoo mail in the past but does no longer, apparently due to "security" changes on Yahoo's side. I've tried the recommendation of a separate "app" password, doesn't work.

I had two Yahoo accounts and three other accounts set up together in Thunderbird for years. Much easier bringing them together into one mail client program than logging-in to each of them separately via browser. And I *never* leave email on the server, easy to set up the accounts in IMAP protocol, drag (or use auto-filters) to sort mail into local storage folders, then delete off the server via T'bird. I've abandoned the Yahoos. Gmail works with T'bird. I've never liked Outlook, never used it, don't know if it works with Yahoo but suspect it doesn't. I don't use mobile devices for email.

Well, this just happened with the Microsoft/Windows Mail app. OK so it's been saying that "Microsoft Mail will become Outlook" so I figured that I would just go ahead and update it...well, it doesn't work anymore with the yahoo dot com email account. I entered my password to set up the new Outlook switch over and it said something went wrong. It's doing the same thing as when I tried it was Thunderbird! UGH! I give up on that Outlook client/Microsoft Mail thingy. It wasn't retrieving my emails anyway, so what's the point?

I do have a gmail email account and am I the only one in the world that absolutely does not like gmail at all and avoid having it use it. I only have a few things going to it. I think that I can also link that yahoo account to gmail but I'm not sure how to do that and don't want to mess things up. :O I guess that I will probably have to just gradually get things out of the yahoo mail and change them over to that gmail account. There are some things that go to the yahoo mail that I was unable to find a way to change the associated email address though. That's kind of why I continue to hang unto that old yahoo email address that I have had for probably 25 years? I think anyway!

Mrs. S We have been having log in issues with yahoo mail on and off now for about 6 months. I have the issue with the switching between two accounts but just last week, my husband who only has the ONE account that he uses, suddenly could not log into his account for about 3 days. You are right, they say nothing about the outage. It's sporadic though because when he was having his issues, I was able to get into my email without issues. He was able to log into his on a different computer or with his phone. It's just strange how yahoo is acting. Do they want people to stop using them for emails? Trying to make this difficult so we will just go away? I don't get it! UGH!

How up to date is the operating system on your device? I was using an older OS until I had to get a newer computer with a newer OS, and afterwards, there were a number of applications that were no longer supported.

My desktop at work is pretty old, but still works fine for most things, and I only use gmail & hotmail on it.

Regards to using different browers for accessing different web-based email accounts ... Firefox allows multiple user profiles, each with separate bookmarks, cache, add-ons, etc. It usually allows only one user profile to be active at a time, even with separate browser windows open ... but adding the "-no-remote" parameter to the start-up command line (on a desktop icon) along with the "-P {profile]" parameter allows simultaneous use of more than one profile (in separate windows, of course). Other browsers may also allow it, research the details and syntax for the start-up parameters.

To answer Carol, my computer is kept up to date. I use Windows 10 with the latest updates. I use FF browser and it is also kept up to date.

I use Thunderbird to view my runbox.com and zoho.com mail.
