Licorice / Anise and the Myrrh scent

last month

While opening a packet of herbal tea today, I immediately got a whiff of the licorice root in it. That reminded me that I have never been able to detect the anise/licorice note in David Austin's myrrh scented roses. I haven't smelled all that many of those. I currently have Chaucer, and that smells like cold cream /soap to me. Maybe the licorice note is more prevalent in others?

If you have an Austin rose that smells like licorice, which one is it?
