Can see a small trailer behind a van with green leaves poking out the windows. I'll know it is another hosta fancier. There are a lot of great nurseries across the midwest, and probably mid Atlantic states and New England. I'd like to get the coordinates or addresses for the nurseries and build a navigation data set. I'm a member of POI Factory online, and that could be my project to contribute to drivers with GPS in the car. I know most of the larger online sellers, but not the ones like Flying Frog or Mr. Cory. Specialty nurseries with hosta, and buyer experience stating they provide healthy hosta, that would be key. Not simply one or two ordinary varieties, but an understanding of hosta growing. I'll think about that for the winter. No time to dally during growing season. If it was not raining, I'd be out there now. I have on my working shoes. Good grief, it is a jungle out there. Growing up, we always had a decorated tree but I have no memories about how it was put up or decorated so clearly it didn't involve the whole family. We'd also have a fresh wreath on the front door and a tabletop manger scene but that was the extent of the decorations. When we were in high school & my Mum had a PT job at a small dept. store (Orr's if Stinky is reading this), we would completely re-decorate the tree when she was at work. We got a kick out of surprising her with the random changes. When we first got married, I put up & decorated a tree a few times but stopped because it was more trouble than it was worth to me. If DH wanted one he was free to do it but he didn't care either. Even though we didn't have a tree most years and it should have been obvious it was not important to us, every year I would get multiple Xmas ornaments from my in-laws. I guess that sums up their gift giving practice - it's not about what you might want or need, it's about what they find convenient to give. I do always put white candles in each window, as is the tradition here in Bethlehem, the Xmas city. I really enjoy those because they bring light to the dark winter nights. I started putting up a tree again over the past 3-4 years because my 4 yo niece & 2 yo nephew spend the month here visiting & my whole family gathers at my house. My theme is non-breakable, so I use whatever I can find in the box of gifted ornaments that won't shatter if it gets knock off the tree (he's an active & inquisitive 2 yo boy). I also tend to go spare versus heavily decorated because packing it all up again in a few weeks is boring. I have a few Xmas decorations I put out every year. Three hand carved wooden Santas, a tabletop white feather tree with only Grinch ornaments, and, starting last year, a countdown to Xmas calendar I made for my niece.

hi greg... we just signed a contract yesterday with Pool City in TR. i was impressed with their knowledge and pricing--and the fact that are a full service operation. (permits are done by them!) we interviewed alot of pool companies over the last two years as well. since we havent done anything yet i cant attest to the rest of your question, but they have excellent BBB ratings. hope that helps---we too are excited ;-)

I wonder if F&B colors vary so much during the day with different lighting because of the absence of black in their paint, as well as the volume of colorants in their paint? The Cornforth White is pretty consistent in our rooms: a light pale neutral gray, although at the brightest time of day, I once thought I saw a slight green undertone. In morning light today (east window), I took the whole ensemble of my plans: our china, the F&B Pale Powder, one of many light green upholstery samples but this one has some silver embossing which I like, and art wall which brings in the Phillipsburg Blue from the dining room as well as the olive colors of the family room rather nicely. With a gold tone frame, it will offer a second color of gold found in the Hampton chandelier. F&B Blue Gray and Pigeon tucked in plate: I am thinking to forego cafe curtains and look into reed roman shades instead to bring in warmth. Top down for the kitchen and the pull up, push down for the bath in same material. F&B Teresa's Green and Green Blue may work too as it's a little more pronounced than Pale Powder. Do you think I should go slightly darker with the F&B accent color? The choice may be used on chairs and table legs. Thank you for your feedback. It helps me a lot. I'm not feeling my husbands red and yellow in the space, or any bright primary color, but he's okay with what ever I choose. He just wants to get back in the kitchen. :)
