Need help making a daybed cover (basically a fitted sheet)
Comments (5)Terriks, that is such a great diagram! Tia, several years ago, I made a similar cover for the daybed in my guest room. It doesn't have the elastic around the bottom as you're thinking, but does fit snugly. I ended up using a king-size comforter in order to get all the fabric I needed, but actually didn't need such a big one. The comforter gave me the patterned, quilted fabric I wanted, but it is bulky and a bit hard to put on. Once it's on, though, it stays in place nicely. I have noticed that my guests do have trouble getting it back on and often leave the bed half made during their stay. It's also not practical as it is, to use as an extra blanket while sleeping. Soooo, now when guests come to stay, I use a thin, lightweight quilt instead and use the fitted cover I made when the room's used just for a den and DD sits on the bed like a sofa. Here's the comforter I cut up and used for mine. I bought it at Penneys: And here's the only pic I have of the fitted comforter I turned it in to. BTW, the bedskirt is not actually gold as it looks in the pic, but a sueded fabric in a chamois color. Just some food for thought before you start cutting ;^D Lynn...See MoreNeed help styling my rental studio
Comments (52)I wonder if there's room for a bookcase type thing at the head of the bed (assuming that the foot is against the wall where the sectional is now)...it would both separate the space and serve as a "hallway"..DH mentioned it earlier...Also some colored baskets would add a much-needed accent color as well as fantastic storage...Maybe it would even eliminate the need for a nightstand if there's an outlet on the side wall for a short lamp. Also wondering if Nicky has abandoned us rabid small-space lovers :)...See Moreneed help styling my dining room hutch!
Comments (20)All of your lovely plates are the same and offer very little contrast to make the grouping interesting.....adding say brilliant blue for example, to the mix along with classic pewter or zinc finish might give you a more classic feel while adding a bit more color and will allow you to add some art in similar colors......also your chandelier while pretty has nothing to relate to on the table...if you can change it out to black or silver or zinc and add a bowl dish or vase on the table with the same finish, ie.....cut crystal simple vase with flowers under the crystal chandelier it will look planned instead of displayed as in a furniture store. If anyone remembers Candice Olsen and her design tv show, she explained once that anything you put in a room needs to relate to another thing in the room be they matching lamps or the same finish on a bookcase and a chair even though the chair and book case do not look anything alike except for the wood tone....does that make sense? This room has the bold orange sofa table, but it relates to the curtains and the pictures, the brass relates to the mirrors, the wood legs relate to the coffee tables, and the yellow relates to the fireplace tiles, etc. Also if you have only one red thing in a room it will shout out loud and clear but if you add a few more red things in the room, the red becomes less noticeable and outstanding.....things to think about in displays....See MoreWhat size and quick connection fittings do I need for my power washer?
Comments (5)I live in Canada and those hoses and connectors came with house. That said they are very old and could be deformed. I double checked the measurements and zero on caliber again. Sizes are the same. About the treads: the best answer I can give you is there 5 in 0.4 inches. Let me know if you know if you know those sizes? I might just take to home depot if I won't get the answer here too. About the spray with a handle, that could be one of the options for sure....See MoreRelated Professionals
