Paint color has to work with your furnishings, art, accessories, rugs, curtains etc.

A great neutral greige that doesnt pull pink or yellow is BM Natural Cream. It depends on lighting, floor colors, etc.

Ditto what Sally Wallace says about Natural Cream. I'm doing 90% of my new build in that color. It's very versatile. I wanted something that did NOT lean gray and this one doesn't. Attached is a photo of my soon to be living room. I felt like it was too dark at first, but I have since changed my mind. Note that this is only in natural lighting; no overhead lights are on anywhere. I have lots of dense woods outside so that tends to lean the color a bit more green, which I like. If you don't have trees outside it probably wouldn't lean that color.

Not surprising that a paint color that BM describes as " The lightest touches of pink, gray and brown make for an ultra-soft, comforting hue" might look pink at certain times of the day.

The undertones for Soft Sand are pink.

That said, I used a neutral color that has pink undertones (BM Frosted Toffee), but it never looks pink because I have a huge Pink Brick wall that divides my foyer and living room. Greige and yellow beiges looked very yellow or green or muddy with the large pink wall.

The color I used is Frosted Toffee. If soft sand only looks pink at certain times of the day it may be that your home needs some level of pink, just softer than what you selected.
