Paint is chosen based on furniture and textiles in the space, also

I also wanted to mention that we are planning to replace all of the upholstered furniture, the coffee and end tables and anything else that you suggest needs to be replaced.

Maybe paint the walls the same color as the trim in an eggshell finish. Or chooses a rug (I would go for one with a light background) and use a color from it for the walls.

So funny that you mention the rug. My husband and I have been bickering about that rug for years. He loves it, I hate it!! I like the 2nd rug in your photos- the blue one. Where is it from?

Anne - beautiful room! The windows are amazing! Plus, the floors look really nice. There is just way too much dark brown.

Are you able to determine the name of the paint color of the trim? That would help since you don’t want to repaint it (understandable if it’s still in a good condition).

The paint is by Cloverdale and is called Arizona Heat. It is discontinued now, so I don’t think you would find it anywhere. I will see if I can find a close colour in Benjamin Moore. Yes, the trim is in great condition.

Just a comment on the creamy wood work. It could be similar to B.M. Linen White. I have done a client's house (who wanted to keep the Linen White) and used B.M. Decorator's white on the walls and in the same house B.M. Muslin on the walls. Lovely!

Wow! That is beautiful and it looks similar to what I have in mind minus the grey tones. Our kitchen (see new photo) is two-tone brown and I can’t visualize grey with it. I think I would have to stay with warmer colours and add some blue. Thoughts?

I agree that blue would be a great complement to the gorgeous deep wood tones, as well as including warm accents from the wood. The colors in this rug jck910 posted are perfect.
