rug needed for family room.
Our couches are great, our floors grey plank.
I have a new coffee table that is light oak with white marble swirl
Top. I feel like the room needs a darker blue rug. Please advise

Just a small consideration, but the Chinese vase at the corner of the fireplace looks rather unbalanced, and the chair by it seems a little too large for that space. Comments (10)Yes, the chairs and table on the left are not in the room anymore. Those were from before I had gotten the bar. That room is new and I have just been ordering things to try them out and then returning. I do like the bar but thats really the only thing that I am tied to. I have no rug in there now and am looking for suggestions. I am as far from a designer as you can get. I do not have a good eye for these things, but love reading all the advice here. Comments (2)At least 2 feet wider than the sofa, maybe more. If a reversible chaise it is probably on legs so should go entirely on the rug. If it sits flat to to the floor, the rug should slip under the front 1/3 of the bench part and be entirely under the chaise section. 6 months agolast modified: 6 months agoCoffee tables are difficult with reclining sofas but yours looks nice and it looks like your little ones use it to their advantage. It looks plenty stable.
I do like your current rug, as well as the one FFPalms posted.
Ruggables shows this with a similar colored sofa and they are having a Memorial Day sale. They don't have a visualizer to add it to your room, tho.
