Another choice for BS, I hope it's better?
Comments (9)Thanks for your honest opinions, they are appreciated. I just don't have a good sense for this ...isn't it obvious? What kind/ color tile would you suggest? I am open to any and all suggestions? The second from the left is a beautiful tile, it's limestone in a honed finish, it has very subtle veins in it, and I like it..but am afraid it will not show up the way I want it too...I really had my heart set on a subway tile, but may go back to 4x4 because there is more of a selection......guess i wanted something I don't have, and have never had, and that's subway..3x6.......See MoreHelp with layout (long, skinny kitchen)/Color choices
Comments (7)Rosie, The main entry is in the front of the house. There is another entry through the garage (not shown) and through the two sets of doors to the right of the kitchen. This will likely be the entry I use most often with two small children. The only bearing walls are the exterior walls and the wall between the kitchen and living room. This is a conversion of the original kitchen; I've attached a sketch (to scale) of what existed in our home (there has been some demo already). Buehl, The half wall is there to block the view of dishes and other kitchen mess from the dining room. I would be fine with using the dining room for most of my meals, but I would love for the babies (my toddler and baby to arrive soon) to be able to eat in the kitchen, as they can make quite a mess! All, I am just wondering if there are any island ideas or other thoughts. Also, I am eliminating the cabinets on the wall between the half bath. The fridge will be on the wall by the basement stairs, and the double ovens are actually going to be under the range (1) and 1 in the peninsula. Again, I'd love any thoughts or other ideas. We want to order cabinets asap!...See MoreAnother Tile Color choice type post! Please help!
Comments (10)Personally I prefer Option 2, but I live in the Pacific Northwest where in the winter nature provides plenty of gray every day, so I wouldn't want dark gray floors (no need to match the sky on a dreary February day). If you live somewhere less prone to nine months of clouds, either could be great. (Note - none of this is meant as a criticism of the Pacific Northwest - I love my gray days and am waiting anxiously for their return. Enough of this sun business)....See MoreFound another granite choice. Help!!
Comments (65)Fiona Bionco for the win. It reads much more gray in the pic. I have 2 slabs on hold. This is their stock pic. I'll snap a pic this week of my slabs. Yes I have seen my actual slabs. It looks very similar to the Colonial Breeze, but warmer....See MoreYayagal
