Can't help with the comparison, but will put in a plug for Brookhaven. I have Brookhaven cabinets, style Colony in color Sierra on Maple. These were installed about 6 years ago (when we did our kitchen remodel with much help from this board) and they still look great and I love them. The finish is extremely durable and the "special" cabinets are great (corner pullout, pot drawers, file cabinet, spice cupboard, etc). I didn't like the "rubber" (probably plastic) strips inside that blocked the slight gap between 2 doors that met, and have pulled these strips off, but that's probably my only complaint. Imagine pictures of my kitchen have long since scrolled off the gallery. Good luck with your remodel!

hi, I'm back! was a busy weekend. I spent many a long summer day on Nauset Beach. It is THE best. I am north of Boston in Cape Ann. Bethpen, that is great that your cabinets are holding up so well. My in-laws have them in their kitchen and they are really nice, but I think they spent in the order of $60-70K on the cabinets alone. I priced them when we did our kitchen and they came in at the high end ($34K). We went with Crown Point whose original quote was about $26K (we managed to add a few items and I think the final was pushing $28K). The Woodmode cabinets I saw the other day were really beautiful and they had been highly customized by my teacher so I got a lot of good ideas. School has been a great adventure. I am loving it. So far it isn't taking too much of a toll on anyone. I stay up late to do my homework so that it doesn't come out of the kids time. Angelina... I did not get the color names on those cabinets. Sorry not to be able to help with that. Is your sample on the way? When I looked at Woodmode, the dealer had a number of kitchens set up and all the door styles and colors to see. Is your dealer close enough to visit? Good luck with it. Picking the cabinet color was the hardest part for me (and made a little easier by the fact that we opted to save money by not going with a custom color... I can't even imagine the headaches that'd caused). Good luck.

I am trying to figure out if I should be comparing costs of mid-grade or higher end cabinetry with Brookhaven. I am not far enough along to choose all the details but do know I like limited details on the cabinetry and will probably go with a stain-that-looks-like-paint (technical jargon :) or painted finish. I am not into lots of corbels, etc. Since I have limited time before I need to make a decision, I am trying to compare where Brookhaven will fall price-wise. I need to get quotes from a few kitchen designers but don't want to chose KDs who only carry lines that will not fit into my established budget. I know I will get what I pay for and am confident that Brookhaven is a quality line, but there are quality lines that are reasonable and those that are way out of my budget. Since whether or not something is considered expensive or reasonable is subjective, I am just trying to figure out what other brands will provide the same quality and look at around the same price so I can find KDs who carry those lines and not waste the time of others.

I have Omega...a combination of semi-custom and custom. It's been 10 years and they are holding up extremely well. In fact, we had a party tonight and when I told them the cabinets are 10 years old, they were amazed b/c they still look new! That's with 2 active children and 2 dogs. One of the great things about Omega is that you can combine their semi-custom (Dynasty) and Custom (now called Pinnacle) lines b/c many of the door styles are found in both lines. We used the semi-custom for most cabinets, but for a few that were not available in the semi-custom line without considerable modifications (and considerable cost), we used custom.
