Cleaning a Wilfa Xplode blender after a leak on the motor unit

I didn't notice the seal wasn't fitting correctly and some of the smoothie leaked onto the motor unit, and emerged below the blender. Looking at the motor unit, there is what seems to be a drainage hole at the edge (bottom left), through which the smoothie has leaked below. The blender works normally, but it does smell a bit with smoothie now. Do you know if the drainage hole could be used to flush the rest of the smoothie out? Or should I just leave it as it is?
