Water damage on prefinished floors - how to fix?

We have water damage from a leak on our brand new pre finished wood floors. The floors were dried professionally within a few days, it flattened out but some of the ends are cracked, the finish is a little rough and the knots are damaged. We can get more of the same prefinished wood so is the best thing to do to replace just the damaged floor boards and call it good or do we need to replace the damaged boards, sand and refinish all the flooring? The flooring extends into multiple rooms. Will we have long term problems, like worse shrinking/expansion issues with the floor in areas that did not get replaced because they did not look damaged but may have been effected?
