Thx all. It came out better than I expected. The color is better in real life or earlier. This was at 7pm as the sun was setting. It turned out my fireplace is also limestone which I forgot because it was buried behind a massive sofa set. I think it will go well with the grey and espresso cabinets.

When you say 'natural walnut', do you mean it will be a darker finish than what you have now? I'm trying to envision what finish/color you will have. Not much help as I happen to love stone and I think it will be a huge pain to remove all that stone and replace it with the limestone, although it will be beautiful. You could remove the stone mantel and replace it with a painted or stained wood mantel though. And I'm not even sure I'd want the limestone to go all the way up. Rustic stone, yes; limestone I'm not so sure. Have you looked at Houzz for some inspiration photos? I'd not do the rounded feature on the top shelf but I'd leave the crown molding and the open top for display of larger items on top. You could also change the doors and hardware to something more contemporary/traditional to suit.

I have something like that that I'm treating like a countertop--using the right adhesive instead. There are the wrong kinds of forces for mortar on my bench. It's not just compressive. When I say "I" I actually mean my everything-but-heavy-electrical-and-plumbing guy, to be honest. He does a lot more than I do these days. But I do 95% of the planning.

I can't decide whether to go cool or warm on color selection for the siding and the trim. Trim is currently painted green. The siding is a tan color. Siding - match limestone to make it 'disappear'? Or contrast? Trim - contrast the siding? or use a lighter version of the siding color? Door - no clue on what to do here. I am planning on having the side glass removed and will be choosing a new door at some point. Attached are a few pictures of the current house color. The roof will be replaced in February so no need to match up new colors to the current roof. I'm in Texas so a dark roof is not a consideration. No black or very dark colors. Thanks for looking.
