I've gotten most of my info from private emails with the administrators over time. The site sells advertising, which is why the sneaky "free ads" disguised as posts are not appreciated. Not to mention the long history of GardenWeb being a site where members (used to be a pay-to-post site) actually help other members and don't try to sell them something. Many many of the spammers are outright crooks, too.

We think you just need to finish up the room to get that comfy look you're looking for. If you want to go for a sectional, go for it! But we think you can work with the two sofas you have now. What you're missing are side tables, a coffee table, maybe a lamp and some accent color that you can add by hanging art, getting new pillows and a different rug. I have been happy to see Crate & Barrel bringing back the bumper sectionals. I was seriously considering the Axis bumper sectional, but ended up going with a different brand without a bumper (due to my specific use). Keep in mind that the C&B Lounge is really really deep. 29"! I have a 27" deep Room & Board sectional (with a bumper) and while I do love it, at 5'6" my feet definitely do not touch the ground sitting normally on it. I'm pretty sure 21"-23" seat depth is more "normal". I ordered something with a 24" depth for just a little extra depth for my 6'3" husband's long legs. The outside depth of the Arhaus Kipton is 2" less than the Lounge or you can order it an even shallower size. Just something to keep in mind when you're choosing.

If you want a sectional, it looks like you could have one with the longest section facing the fireplace and either have a short section with its back to the window or opposite that, facing the window. But for placing the recliner so hubby can see the tv, probably back to the window would be best. I would not get a chaise sectional, if you need seating instead of lounging. If you need lounging/tv watching space, then a chaise running along the window would give prime tv view and it wouldn't block the view out the window. Then you could place the recliner (s) facing the window and view the tv - although a 2nd recliner close to the fireplace will have less than optimum view of the tv if there is even room for a 2nd one. You could put the tv on a swing mount so it could be angled more if lots of people are gathered to watch tv. It looks as if you don't have to use that doorway by the tv, since there is another in the dining area?
