Mirage white oak solid hardwood natural, character grade

We are getting ready to do our main level and demo and redo everything. For flooring - we are stuck between mirage white oak natural wire brushed character solid hardwood (4.25” wide 3/4” deep) OR finding somewhere to buy 4” white oak character planks and site finishing with bona products. Probably the natural seal bona high traffic HD satin (for ease of cleaning even though I love matte).

Has anyone had real experience recently with the Mirage white oak solid wood? I’ve heard it can be way too soft, and the planks can be too short, amongst other concerns. But I also know how involved site finishing can be. So we literally have two options picked out and I don’t know how to choose as to which will be more durable and work out best. Any insight would be very much appreciated. Thanks.
