Disagree. I am a kitchen designer and our showroom sells Fabuwood. Our owner was a custom woodworker and feels they are very well constructed. He recently showed me how the Fabuwood box has better construction features than more "custom" domestic lines.

I like the gray horizon - it can read warm or cool depending on the other furnishings.

Yes. They are imported. Yes, they are limited in sizes/choices (but still offer more choices than a lot of similar lines.) Yes, we are finding there are lines that are a better value with all the price increases during the past two years (if a lot of customization is required). However, for simpler jobs where cabinets are required relatively quickly, it is our go-to line. No other company held it together during the pandemic as well as Fabuwood. Customer service is great and we have very few quality issues.

They cost too much to be so limited in options.

We installed Fabuwood Sept 2022. I decided to stay with white but did consider Horizon for the island. At the end of the day, I didn’t care for the uneven tone (distressed/glazed ?) that Horizon presented. Available colors with Fabuwood are somewhat limited if you are looking for anything other than a neutral. That's what I was looking for so it worked for us. More important to us was availability and function. We have had no issues with the cabinets and are happy with our decision. Our home is fairly simple and we weren't looking for "gourmet", custom everything. If you are looking for a decent cabinet that looks nice, functions well and has a few bells and whistles available (other than color), then I think Fabuwood is worth considering.

@Krichkaur. Thanks so much for the picture! Your kitchen looks great! Funny...I'm also thinking of doing a white picket tile, but in a braided pattern. I love the Fireclay picket tile, but it's very expensive, so I'll have to see if I can afford it. What countertop do you have?

@Krichkaur. Also how did you fit out your microwave? What are the dimensions of that cabinet/opening? I plan to do something similar with the microwave to preserve countertop space in my U-shaped kitchen. Thanks!!

Thanks Nick. My picket tiles were't very expensive but they're also not as nice as the Fireclay ones :) The countertops are granite with veining that match the colors of the kitchen cabinet. The microwave sits in a fabuwood microwave cabinet. I don't know if they still make those but the opening dimensions are 13.5 inches x 24 inches. I believe they can be trimmed to allow for a larger opening. I think this microwave cabinet was designed for built-in microwaves but that wasn't what I wanted. I just wanted something for a small countertop microwave. As you can see in the picture, there's lost of space around the microwave to allow for ventilation since countertop microwaves weren't built to be installed in a cabinet. Also, the microwave is sitting on a wooden chopping board...so that it's level with the cabinet opening :) It doesn't look as nice as a built-in microwave but I am happy with it. Hope that helps.
