True, you do not want to cover recessed lighting with fan blades unless you like the strobe effect. In some ways I'd prefer two fans as it will cover more than one, and give the option of running just one. Let's remember that fans don't actually 'cool' a room, they move air around, and make us feel cooler from evaporation (I've seen people switch on a fan and leave the room for it to 'cool down' lol) Keep in mind the option of some sort of roof vent and/or ventilating skylight, that would be very effective in the evening.

We love our two ceiling fans on our patio is they really circulate the air when you’re sitting out here and cooking out. They are very nice. We live in North Houston and when we have my wins, I get my ladder out very simple to take a wooden handle from the broom or any round type wooden piece and tape it to the downrod down. It goes in between two fanboy, and that will keep it from turning. I don’t know why people think that ceiling fans are such a nuisance when they serve such a good purpose for people who like to be outdoors, relaxing on my patio having a martini and some hors d’oeuvres. the fans given ambience and I’ve never heard anyone complain about their ceiling fans. If you don’t like them, just don’t have them and save some money. Everyone is different. We all have different tastes and dislikes. I don’t like something, I say anything about it to the owner but if I do like something, I will compliment them on their purchase or their items they have used to decorate their own their home. Some people don’t view it like this, but they should take very good care of their home because that is probably their biggest investment. You should do routine maintenance on your to keep. It will be nice and problems that will arise. I am OCD and I have routines most people might find over the top, but I do these things weekly monthly quarterly or it needs to be done because I don’t like spending money on things I can do to prevent chair. Like changing the ceiling air filters every three months and dating them so you know when you did it last - We have many routines and I’m pretty rigid about keeping to them so things operate properly and don’t put a strain on any of our appliances or equipment to run the house. Like flipping and rotating the seat cushions on your sofa and chairs rotated. They won’t wear out as fast! seriously what else do you have to do lay on the sofa and watch TV? I stay busy and I enjoy working in the garden as well. I am not a lazy person and I do not like to be idol. I like to do things to make my house look nice and well manicured.
