Comments (9)What a great job you did. I love smart inexpensive jobs like this, great vision. I thought you retiled the floor too because the trim and beadboard wallpaper make it look much more stylish than the old decor!...See MoreFinally Finished - Barb's Budget Bathroom
Comments (18)Well, I had help. DH was very patient as this bathroom moved in my plans 3 times, and then was revised several times. First just a shower stall, then larger shower stall, then a tub, then a tub with a seat :) He did the framing (with me as a helper). He set the tub. He hung most of the drywall (while I was at work). I finished the drywall, did the tiling, painting, flooring. He put up the trim, set the toilet, vanity & hung the door. Now, we are on to the next project.. a bedroom....See MoreBudget bathroom design feedback
Comments (15)Not quite sure what you decided on the sink, but I would definitely pass on the Biscuit one. It's a lovely color and sounds like a great deal, but you will be glad in the long run if you install while. Much easier to update too. We bought the Memiors Stately pedestal sink for our son's small bathroom 10 years ago and installed a recessed medicine cabinet over it. My husband installed the medicine cabinet. It was time consuming but it's gorgeous and classic, and there is stil plenty of space around the sink itself to accomodate the things my kids cannot be bothered with putting in the cabinet: tooth brushes, including electric ones, toothpaste, including the empty-ish tubes, contact lens cases, fluid, deodorant, cups & clippers, you get the idea. I don't think you need to worry about the porcelain fixtures "matching," the fact that they are white is enough. Enjoy your new bathroom!...See MoreVanity decisions for budget bathroom update
Comments (15)The house was built in 1999. There is a lot of wood throughout the house but the bedrooms and stairs are carpeted. The kitchen has a similar color in the cabinetry with black granite and is in keeping with that Tuscan-inspired vibe. I had originally wanted to redo the kitchen or at least have the cabinetry painted white but the cost just kept creeping up so in that project I am just changing the backsplash to white subway tile, adding a hood exhaust over the oven instead of the existing microwave, and painting the walls. We recently redid the master bedroom and it has a dark blue painted wall (Benjamin Moore Old Navy) and the bottom is wainscotting in Chantilly Lace with a four poster bed and heavy oak furniture (I will post a photo later)....See MoreRelated Professionals
