Plain or textured curtains?
Comments (4)Don't understand....Are you asking about pattern or texture? A classic, minimal approach would be to choose linen panels in a shade close to the wall colour. But perhaps you prefer to introduce more contrast with either colour or texture? Really, all a matter of personal preference, there is no right or wrong....See MoreCurtain Combination look ok?
Comments (2)You're on the right track! The pairing of color and texture looks great here! The white panels looks to be a little more sheer than the navy which is another element which makes this mix work. If it is not more sheer, the recommendation would be to find a white sheer with texture. Best of luck with your project!...See Morewood blinds with no curtains or fabric
Comments (23)I agree with the white trim idea first and foremost, but also understand the pain in the arse factor about painting them. There are a lot of dark finishes in there...the bench, the corner cabinet, the fireplace, the piano, the picture frames, etc. (I get that the folding table is temporary), and I think the room could use some texture and/or a little pattern to give the room some interest. Plants, some valances (nothing too frilly). It's kind of...generic? Everything is smooth and either black/dark brown or beige-y. What are you planning to do for a sofa and chairs, end tables, etc. in terms of color and the styles? I love Sea Salt, btw......See MoreRug to coordinate with these curtains?
Comments (79)Karen, Rug should be arriving next week. I ordered a swatch of the fabric and it's looks perfect! Problem is the Fabric.com doesnt have enough yards in stock. Fabric Guru does but I was sure if the fabric would/should look the same even though it's from different retailers. I ordered the curtains for the dining room you suggested nd they 1000x better than any other ones I've tried (thank you for that awesome pick!). I've decided to paint the dining room so that it blends better with the rest of the house. Also currently looking for a light fixture for the dining room....See MoreRelated Professionals
