One of the appliance folk can probably say with more certainty than I could but the model you chose looks like the Optima I had in my apartment, which was a great, great dw. I have a 10 y.o. Incognito though it dries very well. I've never opened the door. Here's what Miele says about how the drying system works -- it is not heated drying and requires no energy usage. "Most Miele dishwashers employ an advanced drying system that draws room temperature air through a port at the bottom of the appliance. This air is disbursed through special channels around the exterior dishwasher cavity and allows the interior water particles to condense against the walls of the dishwasher. During this process no external air is ever introduced inside of the dishwasher. This provides the most effective and hygienic drying possible." The reason the dishes get dryer on Saniwash is because that water is very hot and, provided the dw is fairly full, the condensation is quite complete. I have Ikea cabinets in the laundry room so I'm aware of precautions with those. Their plinth board in there is starting to peel though the cabinets are doing fine. I would just be aware and make adjustments needed. The DW does come with a front piece that is contiguous with the toe kick in my kitchen but that would depend on which Ikea cabinets are being used and how they are being installed. Crystal looks like a good choice to me.

Only you can decide whether it'll be to froufou for you. I can tell you that I don't think the champagne will work very well, though. I like it much better in the brown for your wall color (which is lovely BTW). What do you think of that color? This set isn't as busy as an all-over print comforter would be . . . and I've seen some gorgeous ones. I love the simple look that SoonerMagic went with. It's very classy but it also looks very warm and inviting. But, I think the comforter set you've pictured here, in the brown not the champagne, is beautiful and could create a very romantic bedroom for you two, as well. You just need to decide whether it's right for you. Heck, how many adults, other than you and your DH, are going to see it? You need to make yourselves happy ;~) !!

I think you have to ask yourself what is likely to last longer, the wall cover or the duvet covers. I don't know about your little girls, but with my kids, nose bleeds, throw-up, crayons, etc., as well as changing interests (horses, fairies, bunnies, polka dots, and flannel/sateen) would have meant that the duvet covers would have had a shorter shelf life than the wall color. I also would not have spent 300.00 plus on bedding under those conditions, so the wall color would have been most important. If, however, the bedding is the more important investment, money-and time-wise, then you should pick the one you like the most and take the wall color from there. coray is so right! And I will add to coray, I suggest not have lamps on the night stands at all, but having sconces affixed to the wall next to the bed. This solves several problems. This avoids having a bulky lamp on the night table, especially important when you may need to get a smaller bedside table due to the size of your room. You can get the type of wall sconce that has an adjustable height, so it will work well as a reading light for people sitting up in bed even if one is 6'3" and the other is 5'3", and will work no matter the height of the bed as well. Some of these wall sconces are plug in so you don't even need to call the electrician, and you can get the cord cover if you don't like the look of the cord. Re secretary: I do not advise getting a vintage secretary with drop-down desk with hutch to use as a work surface. When one works, one tends to lean on the desk with the weight of ones arms or elbows. Secretaries are just not made to take that weight, and the hardware holding the drop-down leaf will break off the secretary or worse, the wood of either the wooden leaf or the secretary will be significantly damaged. And fine craftsmen who know how to repair this are very hard to find. Furthermore, why is there any need for a hutch in a guest bedroom? That bed room is too small, a large piece of furniture like that will only make the room look smaller. If you need a place to store extra towels, get a hotel towel rack for the bathroom like this- You said that your son and GF will be coming for extended stays, so they need a place to keep their clothing. That is a very big closet. I would put in a closet system like ELFA to accommodate their clothing with racks and shelves, etc. so that you do not need a dresser at all in that room. (You will have 2 night stands with drawers.) This way you will have space for a small work table and chair for them. Another thought is to ask them how much time they will actually be needing a surface for their laptop.
