Lighting Design Dilemma

Need table pendant ideas for kitchen/great room table.

We are getting close to the end of a long remodel. 😱 One of the things I still need to get is a pendant above the kitchen/great room table (or not?) There are currently 2 can lights with an opening to attach a light in the center. It is a small space, and I don't want to take away from the view or light coming in so I considered not putting anything there. It I do put a light there, I am considering something distinct from the island lights. I will attach a few I have looked at, but would love suggestions, and also recommendation on size. For reference, that table is 5 feet, and the island pendants are 12" diameter

IMO all of those are too much for the sapce as I mentioned in the other post the kitchen needs color so look at a colored pendant for there but wait until you get the chairs I think

I think you need something a bit elegant to go with your beautiful new kitchen. What about something linear?

BTW Carrie, seems like every sofa and chair I've looked at lately has been 39-40" deep, so I was figuring you would have the depth for 36". Hmmm. Sorry. Also, I meant to tell you that I really agree with your decision on the bay window. That was a great addition and it sounds like your kitchen will really open up to the garden too. Hope you post photos when you get it done, and love that you have a job you don't hate! We moved our patio table inside. I'm comfortable with 54". My sons and DH want bigger -- would really like 60". We're leaving it in place to get used to a different perspective -- we're used to a 36x54 rectangle that opens to 54 square in that space.

Assuming that the existing track is in the correct position (over the table) and you don't want to mess with the ceiling electrical, you can attach a pendant to a track. For example, this Progress adapter (from which a pendant can be hung) attached to a Progress track. This simple WAC pendant attaches to a WAC track with a track adapter (option 2).

A linear chandelier describes the shape. Modern describes the style. For your table, you need a linear shaped chandelier, The style of the other fixtures in the room is modern. So, you really need a linear, modern chandelier. That is what I recommend. What would you want different from that? Thanks.
