Emtek Trail Cabinet Pull

What knob would you recommend to use with the Emtek Trail Cabinet Pull. Although I feel my taste leans contemporary, I also like a touch of traditional mixed in. I’m feeling that the Trail Cabinet Knob that they show is just a bit too modern for me. What other knob(s) should I consider using, as I’m afraid that I’m not qualified to mix and match on my own. Thank you for any assistance you can provide.

Thanks Jenny…I did see that picture & I believe it’s the “Globe Knob” they’re showing. I’ve seen that knob & it just seems really large, although it looks beautiful in this picture. I’m considering the Paxton Knob or the Cadet Knob. Do you think that just any plain round knob would go? The pull has a flat side to it and it makes me wonder if the flat look will go with the round knob. I’m at the end of my kitchen renovation & I think I’m just a bit overwhelmed at this point. Thanks for your input, it’s greatly appreciated.

I definitely second the recommendation for simpsonshardware.com. We've ordered from them multiple times. They are a small mom-n-pop business (when you call, you either get the owner or his wife) with great customer service. The owner spent nearly an hour on the phone with me helping me figure out what size locks and hinges to order and also helped me straighten out an order mixup that was part my fault and part Emtek's (and not theirs at all!). Their prices were close to the cheapest (if not the cheapest) and they are just an all around great company to work with. If I ever need more hardware, I will definitely order from them.

My search took several weeks but when I found homehardware4less.com, it was complete. The final choice was by Emtek-Trail Pull in Satin Nickel and the quality is superb. Hefty, beautifully polished and comes with two pairs of screws in case your doors/drawers are thicker, there will be longer ones for you. The pull on the cabinets look like plain satin bars but they are more substantial looking then the plain bar pulls seem everywhere. I put them on dark gray/black cabinets and they match my appliances perfectly. The best part.......they were about 25-30% less, even with shipping. We had a five-bedroom, six-bath house with exactly those knobs. After seven years--including two with the subsequent owner--only a bit of shiny brass revealed on a couple of them. To keep the look consistent, I eventually interchanged them to balance the wear. I'd use them again in an instant. The only problem was with the privacy lockpins that tended to fall out; probably could be cured with a dab of thread locker.

I think a very simple knob will work. The difference on those is the base. Interestingly, all of them are available in a 1 1/4" size. Have you ordered samples to evaluate in your own kitchen? That's what I did (several times!) before making my final decision.
