Looking for any feedback on Woodtone Lap Siding (using James Hardie) and / or Marvin Essential Windows with Elevate Sliding Doors in ebony. Our house is in PNW on an exposed ridge and largest facades face east and west. Lots of rain and sun. Everyone around here has Milgard vinyl windows (that’s what our house has now but they are at lifespan and failing in more ways than one). Also interested in trim for the windows - everyone has their windows installed proud of the trim - if they have any trim at all. I’d prefer for the trim to actually be functional and protect the window from the elements but am having a hard time finding examples. We are considering these products based on longevity and ease and maintenance but very worried about spending the extra money on what turns out to be a faulty product.
