How to place sofa/TV w/ awkward layout of kitchen-living-dining room!
Comments (25)Sofa on long window wall will look and feel the best and make the room inviting when you walk into it from the front entry. TV on the short wall opposite the sofa; pay to have the wiring redone and move on......you cannot make the space bigger but you can make work well....PS what and where do the stairs go? Do you have an upstairs? What are the dimensions of the living/dining room and kitchen....See Moreawkward large open living space..
Comments (0)Hi, I need help.. open for any suggestions!! I have a large/long open living room with corner fireplace. The area at the front entrance which is the dining area on the blueprint which leads to the living room which overlooks the water. The entire room has carpet. The space leads to open kitchen that is very large with an eat in kitchen area with patio. I am unsure on furniture layout for this entire room. Should I add a wall to make room with 2 sets of French doors to separate the space and create a small front door entryway? Leave it open, make another dining area or add more seating with sofa & accent chairs? I am welcoming all suggestions... thanks....See MoreAwkward L-shape living space
Comments (6)Your plan looks good, but don't do a custom sectional unless you plan to live here forever. Maybe not even then. Have the sectional end where the kitchen begins. And I wouldn't use Barcelona chairs there. I love the way they look, but I wouldn't want to watch TV from them. Also consider a standard sofa instead of a sectional, and then where you show the chaise you could have an Eames lounger. Now that I would watch TV from....See MoreAwkward space next to living room area
Comments (11)I think you have a triad of spaces that can be used for separate activites. Is that pony wall a stairwell? Social/conversational seating by the FP, TV nook where you have it, and a game area (pool, foosball or poker table) in the area you asked about. Looks like a dining spot back in the kitchen, unless you need a formal dining room....See MoreRelated Professionals
