Need advice on shower tile choices

last modified: 12 months ago

We are doing a shower renovation (32" x 32" to 32" x 60" ) and are looking at tile options. Since we are not moving the drain, and are pouring a pan, we are generally thinking smaller tiles for the flooring.

We are thinking:

  • White Corian solid surface for the curb
  • Aura - Light Gray rectangular tiles for the wall (vertical)
  • Either the small 2" Malibu White square tiles OR 2" Anatolia SOHO - Vintage Gray Matte hex tiles for the floor
  • Larger 3" hex tiles for the pockets just to add a little character. These larger hex tiles also somewhat match our vanity countertop which is nice.

You can see the current bathroom flooring in the background. I'm a little worried that it matches the wall tile too closely, but also wonder if the white curb will separate the two and look fine. Any feedback/thoughts would be much appreciated!
