Why does my dishwasher machine STINK ??

Let me start by saying I rarely even use my dishwasher. I've been doing everything by hand because it just smells so bad. Things would come out of the dishwasher smelling so funky, so I'd end up washing by hand immediately after the cycle.

I've tried running the dishwasher on empty.

I've tried running it with white distilled vinegar.

I've tried Kirkland soap, Cascade, store brand soap, etc.

I've tried leaving the door open so that the humidity escapes.

Nothing works.

Well, I gave it another try today for the first time in months. SAME THING! The dishes smell horrible. Like a moldy, musty, rotten smells.

Here's pics of under my sink. I have a Bosch dishwasher, to the right side.

I also don't have an air gap thingy on the counter.

Don't have this issue anywhere else in the house involving water.

What could be going on? Could it be that not using it often is actually CAUSING the issue? Like a snowball effect?

(edit) Yes, the filter is 100% clean, that was the first thing I checked for!
