You could definitely keep the cabinets and change the wallpaper for something more modern. A funky floral that picks up the pink. Or something graphic in white and black (or some other color- green maybe, but keep to just two colors).

New hardware and faucet would help a lot. Remove the board between the two cabinets. I would just do a rail between the cabinets (but I hang dry a lot of clothes.) Or have a fold down rack that you could lay clothes on to dry.

Depending on how much you want to spend, here are a few other ideas-

A new countertop and sink. Tiling behind the sink and machines to the ceiling. Remove the soffit, if possible, and install smaller pot lights.

Get rid of the wallpaper that is there paint everything one color Use satin for the whole thing becuase of moisture . Your W/D look older so maybe wait until those die then do a more extensive change. Do you often need hanging space then get one that folds back out of the way when not needed . I think I would just add a funny piece of art that makes you smile above the sink and save to do real change later.

Please show some daytime photos of all four walls with all the lights on. This looks like a well organized laundry room that could be spiffed up with some great new wallpaper. Paint the walls the same color as your cabinet fronts. This whole set up looks pretty on trend right now for the younger set. So old it is hip again.

does your post say that you’ll be adding a gray oak vinyl floor? I’d for sure skip any type of gray flooring

Reconsider the gray flooring. I’ve commented on your other two posts about the gray, but I will repeat it here. Bring home some samples of something that looks like it could be a real wood color and see how it works with your woodwork and other fixed elements. Pink tones in the wallpaper look great with natural wood tones.

I like the retro look of your LR. It has an interesting style. I agree with the comments about new wallpaper or fresh paint instead of the current wallpaper, and a rod would be handy. The only thing I don't like is the sink/cabinet being in between the washer and dryer, but that was not uncommon in the 50's and 60's. It would not be difficult for an experienced plumber to make the change, but I would not make it a priority. Having a sink in a utility or laundry room is very very useful, so you have a good setup there.

I’d find a gorgeous paper you love and choose everything else to comnplement it.

If you’re already committed to the grey oak vinyl going on outside the laundry room, now is the time to instead consider a fun floor tile or one that better compliments the vibe for the laundry room.
