Flooring Design Dilemma

Anderson engineered flooring

Has anyone installed Anderson Tuftex Natural Timbers Smooth - Orchard? Or Joinery Plank - Inlay? I’m replacing our kitchen cabinets and taking this opportunity to replacing our flooring (the whole first floor) as well. I’m having a very hard time making a decision on the flooring aspect. The cabinets will be BM White Dove or SW Alabaster and the island will be wood (color TBD depending on the flooring we choose). I’m looking for something neutral and timeless. Any advice is appreciated!

Not sure which is which but the one on the left on my screen looks a bit too yellow to be neutral. What are the floors now ?

Light flooring is in now, it won't be in the next cycle. Flooring trends flip flop back and forth between dark and light. If you want a change, it's certainly a lot different than what you have now. Is it going to go with all your furniture? I agree with Patricia, the one on the right looks better, but it's knotty. Is that the look you want? Choose something you like (just ignore the trends) that looks good with what you have so you don't end up hating your furniture after it's installed.

This is my first time posting and I accidentally put it on remodeling instead of flooring. Sorry! We are almost ready to install this floor and I would like any input. This is a very low sheen floor with a good amount of grain, fairly dark, (kind of a dark cherry look) flat (no hand sculpting or "V" edging.) How has Anderson's quality been lately? Has anyone actually installed this floor or seen it? It is fairly dark - I am hoping it won't show much except dust. Any comments on our choice or any general comments would be greatly appreciated. Is it hard to keep a low sheen floor looking nice? Thanks so much. Karen

Rarely hear anything negative. They practically dominated the distressed/hand scraped market in the early days or going back to 2002. Import copycats slowed them down a lot so they had to drop prices...almost $ 3.00 a square foot to dealers. There are a ton of options out there these days. Products with better specifications. IE; lengths, wear layer/veneer. In conclusion. You won't go wrong with them. Nearly all their products are USA made too. Ken Fisher Uptown Floors

I see the top version is made in China and the second Canada. They are both listed as White Oak. There are 300 species of oak, including Quercus alba, the N. American variety. The first is likely another species of white oak, like Siberian oak or one from Eastern Europe. There's no mention of the thickness of the top hardwood layer. No mention of whether the core is softwood or birch plywood. Not disclosing that important info kills my trust.

My current floors are laminate which have held up really well. I wouldn’t be replacing except our kitchen layout is changing. Thanks for your advice so far. I have since eliminated both of the originally posted options.

A local flooring store recommended BellaCera Dalmore Newburgh but I don’t know anything about the quality or this flooring and will have to do some research.

Sliced Face French Oak - Dalmore Newburgh French Oak (bellacerafloors.com) 5" by 48" plank is low quality end of the market where 7" is generally the least width supplied. Longer lengths go with 7-11" widths. No info on the thickness of the top hardwood layer or what the core is made of. 3/8" total thickness is not a lot. I'd keep looking.
