Bathroom Decor Help! Where Do I Place Artwork or Mirror
Comments (3)I would look for art that is large and squarish for just over the tub portion. Then i would find a shelf or two of some kind to go over the toilet. not an ugly cabinet, but something that will fill the space but not compete with the art. Comments (205)WE...that looks so AMAZING! The accessories are just right so zen and calm..one thing I would try is put white vase on tray and the gray vase on the counter..just for the heck of it...get some big fluffy white towels and roll them up and put them under the Buddha shelf....The Shade Store and Smith & Noble are great with shades so I am sure you will be able to get exactly what you need. the trim around the mirrors makes such a difference and love your new modern lighting...look at all that wonderful new hardware!:)...See MorePrimary Bathroom Reno - Paint Color for Pewter Green Vanity
Comments (11)@Jennifer Hogan @Patricia Colwell @kandrewspa @cpartist Thank you all for chiming in! To answer a few questions and give some more collective context: 1. I whole heartedly agree with the dopamine hit when I am surrounded by my favorite colors. Not surprisingly, my favorite color is green, and it is the wall color in my bedroom (the room leading into the primary bathroom). The walls of my bedroom are BM Avon Green, which is quite dark and I love it every single time I go in there. While I would love to paint the bathroom walls green as well, I think it might be overkill, especially if it's a different tone altogether. I would love to do wallpaper but the choices are ENDLESS and I'm worried it will feel overwhelming to the eye. 2. I agree that Grand Millennial style is not very modern and I'm not describing this very well. If I had the time to research and money to spend, I'd go this route. The feel of my house is a bit more of a moody modern in style - I'm not sure what to call it. Maybe modern farmhouse? Our floors are natural white oak. Our kitchen cabinets are navy with black handles, to give some context (a bandaid fix for some 90's era yellowing oak cabinets from the prior owners). 3. I've read a ton of articles on mixing metals and i've looked at many pictures of mixing metals in bathrooms specifically, and I'm not sure I agree that you can't do it in a small space. The bathroom is gutted right now so I have no photos to show of what is actually in there. I did post photos of the vanity and fixtures in my original post....See MoreBathroom reno - vanities
Comments (19)The style of the Home Depot one posted is fine but it kind of looks like all the other vanities. I want something a bit different. We need one that doesn't have the top included. We will purchase our own slabs for counters, bench seat and ledge front in shower. We want it all to match and I want to pick the actual slabs. Thanks, elunia, we will check that out tomorrow. nicole, thank you I will check them out. mtn, hmmm that's not encouraging. We'll hopefully get to see it tomorrow and see what the quality is like. I'm not necessarily wanting something modern. I know the RH one leans a bit modern and that's OK. I definitely do not want really modern. No floating vanities or anything like that. I know I'm not describing what I want very well. I want something that is high quality and doesn't look like the vanity in every builder's house. I probably should have also included this picture in my post. This is my dream vanity. Of course, ours will be 2 smaller single sink vanities, but I love the look of this one. Grabbed off the interwebs somewhere years ago....See MoreRelated Professionals
