Super Glue on Quartz

Did a really smart thing and dropped super glue on new quartz. We quicky ran for paper towel and water… but it dried instantly.

It is gorilla glue, and while I was able to soften it and scrape it off gently with a putty knife, the glue instantly left its mark. Thankfully we can only see it with the glare, and it is now smooth and feels like normal but a foggy appearance.

Wondering if anyone has any great ideas to remove the stain the adhesive left? Thinking the answer may be to learn to live with it. Thanks!

Scrape with a ceramic razor blade please; it won't leave metal marks. Hit it with some acetone on a paper towel.

@https://www.houzz.com/professionals/general-contractors/joseph-corlett-llc-pfvwus-pf~848525206 there does not appear to be anything to scrape anymore and feels the same/smooth as the rest of the counter. I tried a cotton ball and acetone for 3 seconds then quicky rinsed with water and no difference. Am i doing it wrong? Thank you

I had this same problem. After searching around I tried a paste of bicarbonate of soda and vodka, rubbing hard for a couple of minutes and this polished up the counter and made the darker circle (on black granite ) go away. Looks good but I’m going to use granite sealer to maintain it. Don’t know if that would have worked by itself. Don’t recommend any acid or blue-be-gone based on my research!

"for.....eternity" Yes but it is waaaay better because we did not have to beg Garden Web. It is not Garden Web power but vermicomposter poster board magic. It works just like magic. It is fantastic! It is the answer to what we wanted. A place on the board to let people considering posting and people who want typical FAQ information to get that information. Then when they have a question that is less typical, that needs a bit more of a look, posters will have the tools they need to ask a question that will get the response their needs require. It lets them know what information will be helpful from them so they can get the very best answer our rag tag but dashingly handsome bunch o verd heads can give them. Even if some of us do paint our nails a nice shade of vermilion.

Oh my, so healthy looking (sorry I didn't see this until now) my mother hasn't been well the past couple days, but this cheers me up, what an adorable little guy with a nice caudex so far.. thank you very much for sharing your knowledge with me as it's so much appreciated.. you can tell they're spoiled rotted(always lugging them in and out and tending to them like little babies haha the same with my couple:( looking to buy more though lol as I'm sure everyone here is as it becomes an addition, it's been tough lately.. and just tending to my plants and trees makes me feel happy, they really are great fir the soul..very rewarding... Did you abrade the surface somehow with the paper towel or try some BKF so something? If so, you've caused the finish to mismatch. You'll need a wet diamond pad protocol on a variable speed grinder if that's the case and that's not a DIY project.

Let the acetone dwell for several minutes please. It won't hurt the estone.

There is nothing felt on the surface at this point and is a shadow of the exact outline of the glue. Just to clarify, I should still let acetone sit?
