I have a 2500 sqf house, three bathrooms, 4 persons leaving here. I currently have a 80 gallon Rheem, 19 years old (see pics below). Incoming and outgoing piping is 3/4". The 3 bathrooms are at a distance from the heater of 40, 50, and 60 feet, respectively. I was thinking to go with a hybrid heater, so both heat pump and some heating element needed when there is higher demand. Is that a good idea? My eyes are on the pro-Terra 80 gallons, but I do not understand the difference between Proterra Hybrid Electric, Proterra Plug-in, Proterra Plug-in with Hydroboost. To complicate things, home depot offers different 8-gal Proterras, see below, can someone explain the main differences please? |
