Which means? an island @ 73" x 90"

You don't extend like that. It will TAKE OVER the kitchen.!!

Do you have any idea what 73 x 90 will look like in there? In a kitchen that size? No, you don't : )

Go get some cardboard. A couple sheets of drywall. While you're at it? Picture cleaning it!

Draw your kitchen and adjacent passages, and add every dimension for everything. I'll be happy to show you on paper how it will block passages, and become the absolute elephant in the room.

If fact........you have a king bed? Bring the mattress down.It's 78 x 80!!! Your plan is 10 inches longer: )
