Since things that look very like that lamp are still being made, I would try to asess the working parts of it. The plug looks like it could be from the 1920's at the earliest....unless it has been replaced or switched. Is the cord cloth or plastic coated wire? That also could be a clue...unless it has been replaced. The style of the lamp looks like it could be sort of "Flapper" style...early 1930's or late 20's. Does the socket for the bulb give any hints? Wow!! Thanks for all the help, guys. I've looked into the names mentioned, haven't been able to find a designer. That one for sale on the link was an exact match. Too bad they didn't know anything either. I was surprised at how much they were asking.

It appears to be an antique bridge lamp, but I never seen one with a weight, or a wrought iron base like yours. You may have better luck getting an answer on the Antiques and Collectibles forum.
