That's great - depending on what that looks like there are a few things you can do to make sure the experience walking through the entire space from entry is seamless. The roads are okay - if you want to obscure the view of the roads - maybe cabinets/standing bars.

That could be a good idea. Check out this bench - could pick an option that's high enough to block the view of the road depending on where you're standing in the room (if you want). What are other things your family would want to do in the home? Depending on activities with your family there are other ways to use that space - cabinetry, wine bottle storage, indoor plant shelving, etc.
