pool paver maintenance

I’m thinking of installing pavers around pool. My pool cleaner said it will require certain maintenance every 1 or 2 years. I
Would have to have pavers power washed to remove old sealer, re-apply new sealer and paver sand. and then have additional pool cleaning to remove all the debris that falls in pool as well as replace filter. Is that true? I have look deck now and I’m renovating entire pool and deck in my lanai. I should note it is an above ground pool technically, but set into an 8foot stem wall with cement deck around, making it in ground level. and enclosed with pool cage. I want the easiest deck to maintain and one that is not slippery when wet. I thought pavers would be the answer. I’m hoping for suggestions on wether or not I should go paver route or something else? Or simply remove and re -apply kool deck.
